About Frode Haarstad:
As a true lonesome cowboy, Frode Haarstad has traveled across large parts of Norway for decades, entertaining audiences with his unmistakable voice, captivating stage presence, and ability to dive headfirst into the strangest and most unforgettable stories.
Whether performing solo or alongside The NeverNeverBand, Frode has become a familiar and beloved figure on the Norwegian country scene. Now, the cowboy arrives in all his solitary glory for a night packed with authentic country atmosphere.
Known for always appearing in his signature cowboy hat—except for the rare occasion he stepped into Norwegian cinema—Frode has become something of a household name at Norwegian country festivals and related events.
According to Frode himself, he plays “old-fashioned cowboy music,” inspired by the songs he listened to while riding shotgun in a truck alongside The Old Man on dusty roads and through sketchy border crossings.
For this special evening, expect a setlist filled with the kind of cowboy music that might make your right foot a little too heavy for Norwegian speed limits—but still perfect for drowning your sorrows…
